Botulinum toxin treatment
What does it consist of?
It is a neurotoxin that acts on motor muscle fibers, relaxing the muscles on which it exerts its activity, thus reducing wrinkles caused by its contraction. This treatment has an immediate role in reducing expression/dynamic wrinkles and a role in preventing the appearance of new wrinkles in the future. Butulinum Toxin should only be applied to specific areas (mainly glabella, forehead, crow's feet/periocular wrinkles) and ideally at an early stage of wrinkle formation to avoid or mitigate their appearance. This treatment is also used to slim the face in cases of Masseter Hypertrophy (often associated with bruxism) and to temporarily reduce axillary sweating in cases of hyperhidrosis.

Adverse effects
In any treatment involving injectables, there is always the possibility that bruising or oedema may occur.
